Nitrogen Tire Filling
The Benefits of nitrogen for everyday drivers It’s common knowledge that properly inflated tires last longer and deliver better mileage than when under inflated. Most importantly, properly inflated tires are safer for drivers and their occupants. Less well known, however, is that tires filled with at least 92% pure nitrogen will remain properly inflated for a much longer period of time than those filled with regular air. And because nitrogen is an inert gas, it does not promote corrosion as does oxygen. So over time, there is far less deterioration of rubber and accumulation of oxidation on tire rims and valve stems.
Air Conditioning Maintenance
The function of an air conditioner is to help remove the heat and humidity from inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Powered by a belt, the air conditioning compressor compresses the refrigerant to pressurize it and pump it through the system. The refrigerant is pushed through a valve where pressure and temperature are reduced. The now-cool refrigerant travels through the evaporator in the passenger compartment. As a result, cooled air is blown into your vehicle. This refrigerant returns to the compressor, where the cycle begins once again.
R-1234yf Refrigerant
R-1234yf is a low-global-warming-potential mobile air conditioning refrigerant. It is used in many vehicles for environment protection & satisfaction of regulations. HFO-1234yf is a highly-efficient, safe and effective replacement for HFC-134a, is already in use by the auto industry. It has a LOW Global Warming Potential (GWP) and NO Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP), both of which contribute to climate change.
Brake Flush System
When your mechanic recommends that you get your brake system flushed, do you think you should do it or save the cash? DO IT! Braking systems aren’t indestructible. Parts, like the rubber in the valves in the master cylinder, calipers and wheel cylinders deteriorate. All the nasty little bits that flake off end up in your brake fluid. Plus, the fluid itself can get and worn out. Moisture can also get in the system which that leads to rust, which leads to more nasty bits in your brake fluid. All this adds up to a brake system with compromised effectiveness and decreased stopping power.
Think of it this way: You wouldn’t skip changing your cars engine oil, right? Its the lifeblood of your engine, and when it gets contaminated by impurities, you put the entire engine at risk. Its the same with your brake fluid. Let it get dirty and you won’t be able to stop as well. So a good rule of thumb is to have your brakes flushed about every 30,000 miles or so.
